A very pretty Victorian diamond crescent, circa 1880. Front mount in silver and backed in 9ct yellow gold (no hallmarks but tests as 9ct) Measuring 25mm in total length and 23mm in width. Seen here suspended from an 18ct yellow gold clicker clasp and 18" belcher chain (sold separately - please get in touch for details) The crescent was originally a brooch but I have converted it into a wearable pendant so the top bale is new and secure making it wearable on any chain.

It contains fifteen old cut diamonds, graduating in size from 3.5mm to 1.5mm. Approximate total carat weight is 1.20cts and all stones are very bright. I have looked at this under the microscope and cannot see any evidence of later stone replacement, these are all very well matched diamonds.
